Using the Effects tab, you can add various animations and effects to the Windows GUI.
You can enable any number of effects at the same time, but keep in mind that the more effects are running at the same time, the more load on computing resources of your computer it creates, which in some cases can lead to slowdown of the entire system. Therefore, as a rule, we recommend turning on no more than one effect at a time, so as not to overload your computer.
Some effects have the “Density” setting. This setting can significantly influence on the CPU load. The greater the density, the greater the load on a processor. Therefore, on computers with low performance, it is recommended to handle this setting with particular care.
On computers with low performance, it is recommended to disable effects before running applications that are demanding on computer resources, such as games. Therefore, by default, when launching full-screen applications, 3D applications (such as games) and screensavers, Desktop Lux automatically disables effects, background videos and web pages, unless you have disabled this in the settings.
